Film Project with the Ballyhoura Integration Project. A short film from a group of women living in Charleville, Irish and non-national, exploring the notion of integration from their own lived experience. Screened in the School Yard Theatre, Charleville, April 2008.

Blackpool – Old Heart, New Face
Produced for Cork Community Television in collaboration with The Northside Folklore Project, this documentary explores the dramatic alterations in both built and cultural heritage in the vibrant Northside community of Blackpool, where more has changed in the past ten years than in the previous hundred. Utilizing oral history interviews, archival film footage and still photography the films looks at the depth of change in Blackpool through the eyes and voices of her people. The film is one of a three part series for the Corklore Project.

Bishopstown – perspectives from the past, an eye to the future
This half-hour documentary film was produced for Cork Community Television in collaboration with the Bishopstown Senior Social Centre. The film explores the past, present and future of the Bishopstown area on the western side of Cork city and looks at how the area has changed over the years. It consists of interviews with local people, in particular with Bishopstown’s older residents and also shows archive material of the area, along with present day footage. The film is an important record of the lives of Bishopstown’s residents and also provides an opportunity to look at how Bishopstown is developing into the future. The film is one programme in a three-part series called Corklore which has been funded through the Sound & Vision Scheme of the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland. Additional funding for this film was provided by the Community Work Department of the H.S.E. (South Lee).

For a Study commissioned by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland assessing the needs of Cork Communities with regard to the development of Community Television in Cork. These included introductory workshops across Cork city and county and more intensive Programme Development Workshops with a selected number of organisations.

For Cork Community Television, as part of a project co-ordinated by Age and Opportunity and the Health Service Executive Community Work Dept (South Lee). The workshops explored older people’s programming for Community Television.
Access Aware
Produced with the Cork Access Group the aim of this short film project was to raise awareness around access issues for people with disabilities. This was done by showing a range of examples where people interact with the built environment and highlight the positive and negative features they encounter. The film also shows the difficulties that can arise when minimum standards are adopted and highlights the concept of universal design. The resulting DVD was aimed at architects and planners and it is hoped that it will assist them in their work by showing these visual and practical examples. The DVD was funded by Cork City Council and Cork City Partnership.
